API 5L spiral welded pipe is used for pipe line industry. API 5L covers two levels, psl1 provides a standard quality level for line pipe and psl2 has additional mandatory requirements for chemical composition, notch toughness and strength properties and additional NDE.

We can provide spiral welded pipe in accordance API spec 5L psl1 level and psl2 level. Spiral welded pipe with spiral welded seam by double submerged arc welding to form the steel plates/coils into one pipe. Compare to API 5L ERW/LSAW/seamless pipes the advantage is the low products cost and high Material yield, with the large diameter and longer extent. API 5L spiral welded pipe could be used in petroleum oil and gas, and other fluid transmission.

In order to protect the pipe from rust, anti-corrosion coating may be applied in accordance to the contractor’s option. External 3PE, 2PE, FBE, coal tar epoxy, internal FBE, coal tar epoxy, cement mortar lining etc. The coating layer will protect the line pipe and kept the usage time longer than 20 to 30 years in accordance with the media surrounding the pipes.
