AThese permissible variations in outside diameter apply only to material as finsihed at the mill before subsequrent swaging, expanding, bending, polishing, or other fabricating operations. BThe wall thickness variation shall not exceed ±12% of the nominal wall thickness. COvality is the maximum and the minimum outside diamter measured at any one cross section.
Tere is no additional tolerance for ovality on material having a nominal wall thickness for more than 3% of the outside diameter. On this material, the average of the maximum and the minimum outside diameter the average of the maximum and the minimum outside diamter measurements will fall within the ouside diameter tolerance shown in Table 4. An additional ovality allowance of twice the outside diameter tolerance spreads shown in Table, applied ±1/2, is allowed for material having a nomianl wall thickness of 3 % or less of the nominal outside diameter.

ATHese permissible variations in length apply to pipe before bending. They apply to cut lengths up to and including 24 ft(7.3m). For lengths over 24 ft, an additional over-tolerance of 1/8in.(3.2mm) for each 10 ft (3.0m) or fraction thereof shall be permissible up to a maximum additional over-tolerance of 1/2 in.(12.7mm).
