SPECIFICATION FOR COPPER AND COPPER-ALLOY SEAMLESS CONDENSER AND
HEAT EXCHANGER TUBES WITH INTEGRAL FINS

1.Scope

1.1 This specification covers seamless copper and copper alloy with he external or internal surface, or both, has been modified by a cold-forming process to produc an integral enhancd surface for improved heat transfer. The tubes are used in surface condensers, evaporators, and heat exchangers and are normall made form the following copper and coper alloys.

Copper or Copper AlloyAUNS No. Peviously used Desingation Type of Metal

C70600 90-10 copper-nickel ...
C71000 80-20 copper=nickel Type A
C71500 70-30 copper-nickel ...

The UNS system for copper and copper alloys is a simple expansion of the former standard designation system accmplished by the addition of a prefix "C" and a suffix can be used to accommodate composition variation of the base alloy.
Designations listed in Classification B224.

NOTE ? A complte metric companin to Specifiaction B359 has been developed ? B359M: therefore, no metic equivalets are presented in this specification.

1.2 The following sapety hazard caveat peraind only to tfhe test mwthods portoin, Section 19, of this specificatio:This standard does not purport to address all og the safery problem, if any, associated with its use. It is the reponsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health pracics and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior ti use.
